About Vietnam
Vietnam, a South-East Asian nation, is the 15th largest populous country in the world with a total population of around 97 million (as in 2019). Also known as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, it borders countries like China, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. The capital city of Vietnam is Hanoi while its biggest city is Ho Chi Minh city.
As Vietnam is situated in the Indomalayan realm, it is one of the 25 nations to have exceptionally high degrees of biodiversity. Because of its geographical alignment, the weather of Vietnam varies considerably from one region to another. During the winter months i.e November to April, the rainstorms blow from the upper east along the Chinese coast and across the Gulf of Tonkin bringing extensive dampness in North Vietnam. However, the southern part of Vietnam is comparatively warm and dry during that time.
